Default 6spd swap questions

I have an 05 touring with an AT. Well yesterday I drove an S2000 for my friend and it made me trully miss 6spd's. I looked around and actually found a cheap 6spd tranny. My question is how hard of a swap is this and has anyone written up a review on it? Ive helped swap a 240sx from an auto to manual but Im assuming this is a little harder. Is there a list out there for all the parts needed? Thanks everyone

ps. im not interested in selling my car in favor of another 6spd 350. I love mine too much plus its lemans sunset with burnt orange interior so its not very easy to come by around here for a good deal.

I know you don't want to hear this, but it would be in your best interested to just trade your car in and purchase a 6MT Z. Even if you could do a transmission swap, there could be unforeseen problems after the swap which would make your grand total way over just trading your car in. From what I've been hearing, its possible but it's no walk in the park. If you truly serious, try the search as I remember someone on the forums doing this a while back.

Learn from your mistakes, trade in the Z car you are driving for a 6MT save yourself headaches and warranty problems. If you really want a 6MT

haha... that thread is sick. better stick with the trade-in/car-swap bro... I think that it would take Jesus for you to do the tranny swap by yourself without any problems.

after looking at that link, i don't see how anyone would want to do that. 9k? yeah right. It's wayyyy easier just to trade in the car. If our car was super rare or something, then i would understand, but when you can just go out to your local dealers and find one easily, that seems like the best option. You can even get the same color, model, options, and lower miles if you wanted.

^ truth.

But the only reaosn why you would do the swap is if youve done extensive modification (FI or something), then it wouldnt be feasible to return to stock and reinstall those parts into the new car.
