The one is a Skyline motor (RB) and the one we already have in our car is a skyline motor (VQ)

I'd go for at least a V12

to the OP - these swaps have all been done before. If you are serious about them and have the $ to be able to execute it (alot), you'll find the guys who can do it for you

If I were going to take to swap the motor out, I wouldn't even think twice about it. go american V8!!!! whether its and SBF, SBC, or LSX, you can't go wrong. easy to work on.......unreal aftermarket support, lots of room to with if designing a custom turbo setup, etc.

IMO I always wanted a RB motor in my Z. Also If you had a LOT of money just swap the whole drive train fron a skyline to the Z AWD RB 350z lol. Doubt thats been done. Yes peopl will say "why not a G35X" or whatever you call that car.
