More revs. I know it sucks, and people think you can't drive a stick.

Takes a few weeks........I raised my idle to help compensate. There does seem to be a bit more slip and far less shuttering now after ~600 miles. The first 200 miles it was on or off. I would have to imagine the triple is even worse, but it should "loosen" (not sure that is a good choice of words) up a bit.

Have you driven or owned a car with an integrated set-up before? It's much standard to have no play or slip in em.

nope, but my last setup kinda prepared me for this. the comp stage 4, 6 puck was very similar in first gear. ive been trying to baby the car off the line for break in. i was hoping to avoid more revs if possible to get her going but stalling sux so more revs it is. i just hope this clutch can handle the 5000rpm launch at the track unlike the the comp stage 4 that just got destroyed.

what power level......the triple should hold 650-700wtq without too much issue.

Should hold without problem. If it fails.......you might have to look for driving school. j/k

wooooo! triple disc! try blipping the throttle and as the revs come down release the clutch slowly and give it a bit more gas. works out great! takes alot of the shuddering out.

The first time you feel that shudder.......you think all 4 wheels are going to fly off the car, but you get used to it and learn to get moving without it.

Interesting, my single disc has a little slip to it but its still on or off. I have to rev it a little higher to get a smoother engagement.

Anyways its interesting because the double and triple disc are supposed to be easier to daily drive according to GTM.

That's how mine is, but you have about ~1-1.5cm of play before it stalls. It is still much easier to drive than the tilton twin I had in my previous car. As long as I give it 1500-1700 rpm from a stop or catch it on the down rev around that point all is fine.

Maybe pulling off in 2nd? i know a lot of drivers here in Korea do it all the time, especially bus drivers. i know it sounds stupid, just suggesting based observation......i have flame suit on standby just in case.

These clutches have no slip.......trying to go in 2nd would result in nearly immediate stall. Even if you could get it to slip enough it would be overly stressful on an expensive clutch. I wouldn't do it on my OS that's for sure. After a week he will have the hang of it.

Beat me to it

Just do some practicing in a parking lot - it takes a bit of attention, but after you spend some time, you'll get the hang of it. You want to blip the throttle up to around 1500 or so, and then as it swings downward to ~1000, begin letting the clutch out and feeding it very light throttle. Like I said takes a bit of practice at first, but it becomes second nature pretty quickly.

Pulling in 2nd requires even more revs - I've done it, it works fine, but it's just more slip. I wouldn't bother with it.

Hell, I had to start the car in 3rd from a dead stop on a 15 minute drive home (when the nut for the shift lever came out and the shifter came out of it's notch - though the trans was still in 3rd gear) - caused alot of slipping but the clutch took it. But, why intentionally wear it that way if you don't have to
