Default Oil Cooler on N/A

i have a 06 with some basic bolt ons. As you know, 06 have a problem with there oil. I was wondering if a bigger oil pan and oil cooler kit will help this problem?

Neither would affect the burning problem. Both would simply increase capacity.

The issue with the 06 engines is oil consumption, which is not something an oil cooler would really help. Generally speaking an NA VQ35 with just common bolt ons does not require an oil cooler for street use, under heavy track use we recommend one.

No it won't affect how the 06 consumes oil, but apparently it does seem to affect your grammer.

Like Bryan said, neither one of them provide solutions to your problem; however, if you wish to to track your vehicle hard, or just plain want the oil cooler for looks...then go for it.

It doesn't work that way, and it's totally not worth it anyway. Check it every 500 miles when the car is cold. Write down the level and the mileage. If there is no or minor change in the oil level, start checking it at 1000 mile intervals. It may burn 1qt every 1k miles, but if it burns more than that, you need to start having the Nissan dealership change the oil and track the level if you want the engine replaced.

Our 04' burns oil.
My 03' burns oil.

It happens.

that's hardly a solution

if your car consumes oil, you have 1 basic option - rebuild the engine. Nothing short of that is going to solve the underlying issue

Not a good solution to your issue, but technicaly true.

I have an AAM spacer which adds 1 quart of capacity by extending the lower oil pan (The black "cover" on the bottom) and oil pick up down an inch or so. So in essense when the dip stick reads a quart low, you still have 5 quarts oil oil and aren't "technicaly" one quart low because the pickup gets moved lower in the pan too.

So based on this question, a spacer would be what you'd want to "safely burn off a quart". Have fun getting the lower pan up without beating it up beyond re-use!!

Exactly!! the issue to my understanding is at the incorrect tollerance piston rings.....

only a rebuild would eliminate the issue, what your looking for is a way for you to not have to do ish.....your being lazy......monitor your car and its consumption, take it to the dealer, get it swapped, but doing xyz silly stuff isnt gonna help ya...
