The first batch came in yesterday.
Went to bolt it do the diff and install for last bit of testing..
They drilled the wrong bolt pattern for the ring gear bolts and it wont line up. There is enough material to make a new set of holes that are correct.....but they have been hardened and they dont know if they will be able to do that. They are trying.
The other part of this.....if they cannot drill the new holes and make the current ring gear work...............
then they have to redo the entire batch ...including new pinion gears as they are matched and numbered sets during their break in and polsihing stage.

The ring gear bolt holes were suppose to be drilled at 18 degrees from another set of holes that were used during the manufacturing of the gear. There was a mix up and they were drilled aprox 13 degrees from the other holes.

We are working on getting this resoved ASAP and will have an answer shortly.
Cheers
BJ

Something around 3.25 instead of my 3.53 or whatever the manuals have. dwnshift if you guys make that I will buy that. Especially for guys with FI or a lot of power. All more gearing will do is increase traction problems. Higher gears will help alleviate that and increase mileage and reduce wear (especially on FI motors - stay out of boost when hwy driving). How about some 3.25's for those who want to go the other way??
I have an auto which has the 3.2 you are looking for. If I end up going with the 3.5 or even the 3.9, I will be selling my 3.2.

There will be and is 3.5 R and P's available to the automatic guys. I know I have two sets at the shop right now.

On another note regarding pricing of itmes at 350EVO.com....this comes up time and time again....
This is by no means a knock on any aftermarket company that makes parts for the 350Z. I just want everyone to know OUR policy and what we expect from our parts.

We are in the buisness of developing and producing top quality RACE proven parts and nothing less. We are not in the market to shell out lower dollar parts with low quality just to make a buck or two. I am sure that their are other companies that are making a lot more % gains on their products. I would also venture to say that these products might not hold up under the realms of real race conditions. When we go to the drawing board for developing our products we want to use the best quality products that we can. We want to have the reputation for putting out the best quallity products.....because in the end that what matters the most. We feel that our products are absolute top quality...because in racing......they have to be.
Cheers

Is the installation easy to do or would I need to let it be done professionally?
