So how many hours would you say you would charge?

Don't worry Jeff. You'll soon get to install one along side the Nismo LSD I'm gonna get from you.

4 hours or less. We would charge real time, and if it takes less will pass on the savings.

Not bad at all. I'd pay that for a gear swap.

Why don't you come to San Antonio? The most I will have to pay for labor is 120 dollars and the same goes for whoever does this mod with me.

No it does not effect the speedo. Wheel speeds on the 350Z and the G35 are taken off of the wheels speed/ ABS sensors on each wheel.

When do you expect to have something for the 5AT vehicles? Do you know what the comparison top speeds would be for each 5 gears? I may be very interested if the ratios look ok for some long trips in 5th gear.

D
I have you down on the list. I will be going through the list next week and calling everyone. We are tryig to get a lot squared away in a shirt time. I should hopefully know an expected time of delivery also.

For the 5AT owners we can do the Nismo diff with the ring and pinion and it will go right in.

Can you guys stop posting just to say you sent an email or PM? That would be helpful to a lot of us who see the thread bumped back up and for nothing. Thanks!

Do you have numbers to compare before/after installing the final drive?
0-60, 1/4mile, track times etc?

Default 0-60, 1/4 mi times

Yeah, also curious about times. Especially if 60mph won't be had until third gear. What amount of time is tacked on to getting to sixty due to shifts to 2nd and 3rd? 2/10 sec? I think with an N/A bolt on setup it would still be tough to get under 5 sec. Any ideas?

I believe the Final Drive is a 10% gear reduction over stock not that this (assumption) is correct but for example if you are pulling a 0-60 @ a 5.4 reducing that time 10% would make it a 4.86 not that it translates to that......but anyway it does make for some curious speculation all things being equal. (including traction)

We have done a couple of 1/4 mile runs with a G Tech when the weather has been decent.
The quickest I did wasa 13.8 and the slowest of the three was a 14.1.....all runs had wheel spin off the line and shifting to second.
From what I have seen the bigger differences with this set up will be your 0-100 or 60mph on up accel.
By all means I am no drag racer.

Dwnshift could you tell me what the 60 MPH Cruise RPM is for this setup? I'm selecting cams and they want to know what the car's rpms are at 60mph in 5th gear.

Thanks
