Angry 580whp fuel problems?

Today i made 580whp and stopped a 6000rpm at 8 degrees. at 20psi 91 oct fuel

twin turbo g35 full built. Haltech

4500rpm AFR is 11.5 then 6000rpm goes lean it 13.7 then i let off so i don't blow the car

This means i need a better fuel system

I am running out of fuel. I am using aps extreme fuel system dual pump system.

I am going to change the fuel system what do you thing i should get??

Has any done aeromotive a1000 or weldon db2025-a in their cars?

contact phunk on the forum. he is the owner of cj motorsports. he will probably recommend a tripple pump setup.

Had the exact same issue with my APS extreme fuel system. Ran out of fuel at 540 on a Dyno Dynamics. It seems that is the area. Those injectors just can't flow any more.

I switched to an aeromotive regulator, injected perfomance high flow fuel rails, PTE1200cc injectors and used the same lines provided in APS' kit. This caused the venturi system in the drop in tank of the aps system to have fuel pressure problems and not siphon the fuel over from the driver's side of the tank. I ended up burning out to walbros.

I switched to the CJM dual fuel pump that was mentioned earlier.

I made 640rwhp without running out of fuel with the new set-up. Again, all on a low reading DD.

^^ You mean lower it!!

I belive this is the limit for 91oct. try C16 for more power.

Also 8* is way low for timing, I think.

8 degrees is very low. Some ppl run 22 i think. but that is not my problem.

What do i get with this aps extreme kit? it is already dual pump system.

just bigger injectors? are the injected performance rails bigger then aps? new lines? or pump setup?

Or do i switch the pump these race pump and for the street lol? ( they are so loud tho)

I would just get bigger injectors. I think the rest of the kit can handle the flow of the flow of fuel. Get some 1000cc+ injectors. I am just not sure as to how well they will fit into the APS rails. I know there was a member who got ID2000's to fit in the rails so I am assuming the ID1000's would work too. But, he also changed the regulator to an aermotive one. You then get into trouble with the venturi system as I mentioned before because you are changing the system's fuel pressure which the drop in hanger was set for a specific pressure to work. And the regulators on the APS kit or non adjustable.

It's a big pain in the ***.

Yes, he has twin pump. 2x 255lph. His injectors are rated from APS as 880cc. But, there has been controversy about the actual flow of them. His pressure should be around 58psi or 4bar which is where the APS regulators are set. They cannot be adjusted either.

Not at 20 psi peak tq... that is about where it needs to be on 91 oct even on a low compression motor, perhaps a bit conservative. 22 degrees is crazy high for high boost on a VQ on pump gas.

This is what i did. I just ordered cosworth fuel rail and id1000 injectors. I hope this will do the trick.

I hope to break 600whp or close to it at 20psi with more fuel

Did you order a fuel pressure regulator as well?

like a few others have said I believe the problem with your fuel system is your injectors are too small and cant flow enough. I run 2 walbros with 1600cc injectors and they hold up fine. Im not sure Id be chasing huge hp on 91 octane either for the safety of your motor.
