Here's a little sneak preview of the Tilton AND 3.9 fd. Car started to get out of control upon 1st gear accel. so I had to ease off and reapply throttle.

PhoenixINX - Yes on the shift points approximately. I was shifting early because my pedal stop is not in yet and redline comes up so fast I don't want to goof. Here's another.

The Tilton set up was fun for a while, but I gotta admit I'm not going to miss it on the street, especially rush hour on the Harbor Fwy.

My EVO will definitely need a stronger clutch with all the engine mods I am planning, but I am sticking with something more streetable this time around.

A quick update; I was considering getting rid of my Tilton due to driveability issues. However, I recently had the idle speed bumped up 150 rpm and the driveability issues have been greatly reduced. Having the idle speed higher makes all the difference in the world taking off from a stand still. Which was where my biggest complaint was. Plus, when the car is idling, it doesn't sound so much like a diesel truck. Best part is the fix was free from my Nissan dealer!!

yeah my idle is around 1300rpms - and it drives WAY nicer than at 900 - no more diesel truck clunking sounds while idling in neutral anymore!

That and the higher idle sounds meaner/louder at stoplights - sure it burns maybe 1-2% more gas, but eh so what, it's so worth it with the tilton

omg, if that's the FULL street setup, it looks like its constantly around the rev limiter, and that makes me nervous and exhausted just watching it. jwt for me. thanx for the vid, zil.
