The nice thing about asking for this configuration, is the angle on the inlet and outlet make for nice smooth pipe routing.
for sure, i had my inlet and outlet pointed in a similar direction

Yeah, that setup you have works, i still don't like how close the can comes to the cooling pipe on the engine though

I just worked with Saikou to get the config/setup right so it fits nice and easy in most engine bays.

I just got my oil catch can in the mail today from Saikou Michi Company.
I went with the 350Z version made to go on the power steering fluid bracket.

I picked gloss black with the silver company logo and the sight tube.

It's a great looking unit of very high quality.

I want to mount it as soon as possible but I'm trying to find some nice hoses and fitting to go with my car theme.

Looking for black or stainless braid hoses with black or polished aluminum fittings.

Any suggetions from those of you who have done this?

Thanks!

I can't help you with the hoses you quoted above, but if you want normal black hose, the best is fuel injection hose, not fuel hose, but specifically fuel injection.
It will be as solid as the lines it replaces.

Should be able to order it from amazon.

Not for the hoses, but just make sure you specify the 350z version when you order, it's nice to have 'custom' nozzle directions

Thanks! Did mention 350z, will double check to ensure custom nozzle directions! And for future thread seekers (thanks to SDGenius - hopefully he does not mind me listing):

Hmm, that hose looks pretty nice, i wonder if it stands up to vacuum as well as injection hose?

Braided hose is stronger than standard fuel injection hose. Plus vacuum isn't stronger than -25inhg on these engines anyways.

wow. they are on crazy back order, took 96 hours for a reply. But luckily, another 350z owner changed his order for a sight glass, so I was able to snag the non-sight glass one as a bit of a discount to be shipped immediately, then got the JEGS hose/clamps. Complete setup less that $87 shipped... which might be an expensive catch can setup but eh. def not an ARC. looking forward to installing

I dont know how you guys got this to fit without modification.. I have to drill a line thru the bottom of the handle to slide over the power steering bracket and then put the catch can bracket on the inside of the catch can handle and clamp it that way in order to get it to fit without rubbing the engine bay hoses. I wore off paint on the catch can just trying to test fit it the normal way and no way it was going to work out.

I will have to mount it similar to the way SDgenius did it.. but my power steering bracket is stock of course.

I'm assuming you ordered the 'mini' can with the 350z fitting?

There should be no problem getting this to fit in the stock car in that location, can you post a pic of how you're trying to do it, it doesn't sound like you're fitting it the intended way.

Heres a pic of the space by the power steering bracket.. I did order the 350z version.. and there is only one way to mount this.. so I cant be screwing it up.... when I try to hold the catch can up to it... there is no where near enough room... even if I tried to squeeze it in, it wouldnt be able to fit half way down without bending the bracket/or hose... and even if squeezing it in, it wouldnt go half the way down... the bracket handle on the catch can sticks WAY to far out... have to drill thru the bottom of it and slide over the power steering bracket and mount that way... who else has this issue with this catch can? I prolly wouldnt have gotten it if I knew that much modification was required.

Look how SDgenius has the power steering bracket going thru the INSIDE of the handle on the catch can... this is the only way possible to mount it to come close to fitting.

Edit: had to take time to upload to server.. as the forum attachment method is not working... it uploads but never attaches.
