Default Anyone have a standalone without FI?

Does anyone use a standalone Fuel Management system with an N/A 350Z?

I wonder what kind of a difference it would make when the car gets heavy with various mods.

for about 500 dollars less i think most people would just go for a piggyback/reflash with the same effect

but those that have plans of going FI in the future might want to put that 500 toward the standalone so they don't waste the reflash cost later.

By the way, I heard Apex'i is coming out with Power FC for 350Z in April. Not sure if it's going to be Japan only though. I bet the ECUs are different so it may not be compatible with US Zs if it's for Japan market.

Except there is zero comparison to what a good tuner can do with standalone vs a reflash....

Seeing how no one has done this, I think I might just have to get a fuel management system to see what it can do on a non-FI Z. I plan on going FI in the future anyway, so no money wasted!

I'm in the process (waiting on cash ) of hardwiring an autronics ECU into my Z, which will be TT in July . . . I have EVO friends that added atleast 40HP to their base numbers by tuning their standalone, BUT, we have to consider that they're already turboed.

Gary,

Do you know how much more waiting you might be doing?
