Its Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds great so far. Can't wait until tomorrow.
Are you guys ready of rthe influx of orders in the first few weeks of production? Any idea how many can be made a day? I would think if the Dyno comes out well, you will ahve a decent number of orders initially!!

all_bark, please make sure to pull the negative off the battery while installing the plenum and put some miles on it before doing the dyno run. I really believe in giving the ECU time to make changes. I'll have proof of this to be revealed in a week.

We are prepared for the first wave of initial orders....mentally.
Since we dont have an accurate gauge of how manhy initial orders there will be, we are going to try and prepare for the worst. Unfortunately we cant just pop these things out, they take a little time, must bepressurized for a couple hours, etc. Then they must be prepared for the car, threaded inserts, etc.
We wont be officially taking orders for 2 weeks, expect Feb 15th as the official release. This gives us time to get the production down, sort out instructions, hardware, etc. This also gives us time to further test and to produce an inventory so the initial orders will ship FAST. We will NOT have long waits on these plenums. They will ship within 4 business days of order placement.
I was concerned with the amount of time between before and after dyno runs myself, giving the car time to adjust, but we will just have to wait and see.
Thanks everyone for your support up to this point.

I have it on disk so later today I will be able to show the baseline for all to see.
I am now going out to the garage to install the lsdunique hi-flow cats that came yesterday. Tomorrow mornings dyno will show JUST THE CATS, because no one has done this just yet for lsd.
THEN, AFTER THAT DYNO I WILL GO OUT IN THE PARKING LOT AND INSTALL THE .....
DRUM ROLL PLEASE......
BRAND SPANKING NEW, HOT OFF THE MACHINE THAT FABRICATES THEM.......
LSDUNIQUE PLASTIC PLENUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i got back from the dyno it was waiting at my po box. lsdunique said he was up till 3:00 am putting on the final touches before DRIVING it down to san diego so I would have it for the dyno day tomorrow at the dyno shop in Santee, CA (east san diego)
after the mornings cat dyno i will go out in the parking lot and install the new plenum then go back in for another dyno run. After I am finished I will then come home and post more pic's and the dyno's so everyone can see the actually results from 1) just the cats and 2) just the new plastic plenum.
So now I'm out to the garage to install the cats so pictures (which take me a while to put together) must wait till later. (but there will be plenty so be just a little more patient)
thats it, I'm out.....

I am back but there was a problem.
I will get right to it but first I want to print my first and second dyno's for people to see. good gains on the hi-flow cats.

ok, another dump question from someone uninformed regarding this: so the benefit to this plenum isnt so much cost but the material?
for those with the crawford, are the improvements from this noticeable in the low rpms or is it mostly higher up?

ok, here is the deal with the problem.
just got off the phone with lsdunique.
he asked me to take a small part off the bottom of the plenum to check for holes. sure enough when he was drilling out the plenum to set the metal screw acceptors (I do not really know how to describe that part but it is metal that is countersunk into the plastic so you can screw a bolt into it) at 3 am! he drilled one of them alittle to deep and there is a hole that went all the way through to the inside of the plenum.
This 1/4 inch hole in the plenum screwed up the plenum so bad that the car would not idle! You could rev it up to 3-4grand (and it sounded pretty good) but you could not get the car to idle for even a second or two.
So, to make this long story short, tomorrow morning I am going to get some plastic epoxy (as per lsdunique instructions) fill the hole and put it back on.
Hopefully (and I am giving this a 95% success rate) will cure the problem and the car will start see some more really big gains!
If you have any questions please ask. the pictures will be posted soon
I am going to start another thread with the dyno results from the hi-flow cats. just so you know it was about 8 rwhp! pretty good in my opinion.
check it out.

I apologize to everyone as I know they were expecting to see the dynos today, but more importantly I apologize to all_bark. He is the one that paid for the before and after dynos and set aside the time to do everything only to have my screw up ruin the after dynos.
The car was not idling correctly, and I had accidently drilled too far when tapping for one of the threaded inserts. Stupid mistake, but it is my mistake.
all_bark is using not only the first plenum for testing, but the first prototype. He has been very helpful in getting great feedback on small changes, and the quality of the full production piece should be outstanding.
Because I had messed up all_bark's dyno session and I know you want the dynos ASAP I will be paying to have his car redyno'd as soon as the small issue is resolved, which should hopefully be tomorrow.
I was also informed of the flex at WOT, which we were expecting, so we already have a solution that will be ready upon the plenums release.
Once again I apologize for the "letdown" but we are one step closer to release, not one step further.
Thanks

well, more bad news.
the guy at the dyno shop saved the files in a format he said "was compatible with the program you get from our website, it is really great because you can switch betwwen rwhp, tourque and air/fuel mixtures and can overlay several dynos at once"\
so I said great, that would be prefect. well after an hour of searching the web site "the dyno shop . com" I could not find it so I am giving up for the day but I will work on the plenum in the morning tomorrow to see if it will work. So now I am tired, my back is sore and
I need a beer! (or two)
see ya.....

This is what we termed in software development an "Undocumented Feature". I understand the 100% things like this and I will wait for the results. Like ericinmiami said, $hit happens, that 's part of R&D.
lsd, do you think an aftermarket throttle body or tb bore would compliment the plenum?
thanks, also...put me down on the group buy....yes, i have that much confidence that this product will produce....out

Good luck on the dynos tomorrow. If waiting is possible, I also share the mindset that allowing the ECU to adjust to the plenum would be the most representitive of any real world gains found in day-to-day driving.
My 01 celica GTS required about 50-75 miles driven before the ECU appears to adjust to the new mod. This was after the neg terminal was disconnected for 1hr, mod installed, and neg reconnected, and driven 50-75 miles. The popcharger I installed last weekend appeared to require 35-50 miles before the tone heard from the filter was no longer changing at WOT.
Once the plenum is on, put a few miles on it, park it to cool off then dyno.
I don't mean to be a dick
, but I would like to see a dyno that represents what I will see on my Z after the car learns the new plenum. Afterall, this is the performance we are going to be living with months after the dyno.
