Transmission swap

Transmission swap
I have a 2008 350z touring coupe. It has an automatic trans in it right now but I want to put a 6spd manual in it. I've heard of guys doing it in the past so I'm wondering if it is possible. My only concern is the wiring and sensors may be different. Can anyone give me some good educated info?
Also if anyone has a copy of the wiring diagram for my car vs the manual I'd like to compare the 2.

would there be any issues with the wiring and ecu? price wise the cost is about the same as rebuilding a auto trans at a shop. I'll be doing the work myself so shop cost will not be included.
I don't want to sell the car because I've got wheels, tint, and wipper delete on the car already i dont want to deal with all that on another car.

I did mine(2003 g35) but I am familiar with the ins and outs of the car short of tearing down the block. If you know the car well and have a good idea about the wiring its not bad as there is really no wiring except reverse lights and neutral position sensor. Just look for the 5at to 6mt diy swap thread and it will tell you everything you need to know. once sourcing all the parts its pretty easy. I did everything except the actual clutch install and trans swap without even jacking up the car(i live in an apartment complex) and had a friend with a lift do the trans and clutch install. If I had a lift, realistically I could have completed the whole swap in 12 hrs.
If you think wheels, tint and a wiper delete is work, I would reconsider doing this swap...

I would buy a different car unless doing a non OEM engine swap or building as a dedicated race car.

Terrasmak is correct; while this swap is possible, it's not easy or quick. It's quicker to just fix your car and sell it, then buy a manual tranny Z.

finding a dealership or seller that would let me change my rims and wiper delete over seems like it would be hard. I have access to a car lift and i have a ton of tool. I just want to know its possible, and ill give it a shot.

Let me spell it out for you. Go on craigslist, search 5x114. Buy a cheap set. Put THAT set on your z. Keep your "good" wheel and sell the z.
Get a new z, then put your "good" wheels on the NEW z and sell the wheels the z cane with. Ban problem solve. Less hassle and skills required...

But if the OP is worried about all the "hard work" to do a wiper delete and a $1400 set of rotas, this swap definitely is not in their best interest.

It's not a waste if you can source good quality parts for a good price and have the knowledge and capability to do it all yourself. But if you're going to do it you need to be able to afford to do it right the first time.

The wiring, the possibility of getting a bad tran, blah blah blah. Factors. Personally i can sell the car and get a manual without losing a dime. To me, thats less than the trouble of swapping the tran. Even if you can fine the tran for a good price, youre still paying for it vs just selling the car and buying a new one breaking even in the process.
