Clutch Grinding noise help!
hello, i've been researching on this forum as well as on the internet for similar problems, though i've seen some issues being talked about tranny noise, none i've seen describe my z situation.
whenever i release the clutch i could get a grinding noise, it doesn't always does this but it is often, i would say there's a 50/50 chance of the car doing this noise, in order to silence it i just engage the clutch all the way and release it again, most of the time this does the trick, or i could just release it when in neutral, then engage the clutch, place it in gear and voiala, it does this while standing still or when in motion, a friend of mine tells me that this is the throw out bearing that needs to be replaced, have any of you guys got any similar problems?
BTW this does not affect my launch or stall the car, my car is aproaching 200k miles but i don't get any grinding while engaging gear, only when i start to release the clutch.
any insight will be greatly apreciated.
Thanks.

I have been experiencing the same thing (although mostly in cold weather which would not be your case).
It is the throw-out-bearing. If you are not having any other issue with your clutch or transmission, you don't have to do anything right now. You should address the TOB noise when you replace the clutch mechanism.
