Default VQ35 Swap s13. Will vq37hr work with my cd06 trans?

I have a vq35 swapped s13. My Instagram is @Titan_Fabrication if anyone wants to have a peek at my build/setup.

long story short ive destroyed 2 vq35's. My current setup is a vq35 with hx35 turbo managed by haltech elite 2500.

Now before i go build another vq35, i have a good deal in front of me for a vq37hr.
Now the vq37 is much better in my opinon, so i will be just going NA. The boosted setup is cool, but everything else in my drivetrain on my s13 suffers with over 400hp.
My car is only 2600lbs. So i think a nice NA 37 will be a good reliable combo for drifting.

**** So the big question. Will a VQ37HR bolt onto a 2005 350z Manual 6spd?********

True. If your trans bolts up to the DE, it won't work. You could possibly swap the bell housing and run the VHR ahead of it but as I recall, not a job for the faint of heart because a whole bunch of other stuff needs to swap as well. It's on here, use the search or google to find it, I don't have a clue where I read about it.

Sorry, so what your saying is the HR motor will not bolt up to a DE? Not worried at all about wiring etc as i have a haltech and a reputable tuning company to help along the way

HR/VHR has a different bolt pattern than DE aft.... the CD009 trans that comes with that engine has the matching bell housing pattern; so yes, the HR motor doesn't bolt up to a DE TRANS. As far as the other things that need to be swapped, I seem to remember there were mechanical differences, not electronic, which, as you said, can be worked out via a standalone like Haltech. (Maybe.... don't know for sure.) Check those threads I linked, it's in there somewhere, pretty sure.

My inclination here is to advise finding an HR/VHR compatible CD009 trans unless there's some reason you need to stick with the earlier DE trans (like altered gear sets, synchronizers, that sort of thing.) Doing that makes it bolt in with the only fab being possibly a modified d'shaft.

Heres some pictures of the current setup.
ill post some pictures of what ever i decide to do, this setup is awesome and makes good power. But i might just go NA as i need sear time and I'm seeking a more reliable, drivable, lighter, simpler setup.
Probably cams, tune, true dual exhaust, maybeeee ITBS.

Everything I do is built by my self in my fabrication shop located in Calgary Alberta. Forward facing headers, Front mount turbo, full DOM cage, stitch welded chassis etc etc.

Check out my Instagram @Titan_Fabrication. And our youtube channel @403_Streetdriven we film all our travels and the full swap!
