Default CD008 vs CD009

I recently bought a used 350Z 6spd trans that I'm going to be swapping into my turbo S2000. Originally I was told the trans came from a '06, but when I got there to look at it, the VIN plate on the trans showed that it is from an '04. I was also able to see the car that it came from, and it was an '04, produced 05/04, which makes this trans a CD008 from what I've found.

So, I have seen the chart of differences in synchros between the CD008 and CD009. Obviously the CD009 is better, but I will probably just run this transmission to see how well it works. I don't shift like a crazy person, so maybe the lack of triple cone synchros won't be a huge deal. Currently my S2K is putting out 560whp on a Mustang Dyno, so once I'm making more power, the stock trans will most likely break, and that's why I'm wanting to run this trans instead.

If I need to rebuild the CD008, I saw somewhere that a forum member had a special 3rd gear made since the stock gear can separate or something. Can the updated CD009 synchros be used as well? Thanks in advance for any info.

I attached a screen shot of the VIN sticker from the door jamb.

Its cheaper to buy a brand new cd00A trans then rebuilding.
