Default 300hp

What are the best ways to increase hp for the Z? From the simplest/cheapest and up.

Thanks!

JWT Pop Charger : 6.5HP to the wheels. That will bring just below 300HP to the crank.

Next cheep mod to make HP would be the Unorthodox Crank Pulley (6-8HP to the wheels)

After that would be Random Technology High Flow Cats (8-14HP Depending on exhaust setup)

Alot of people still think about HP to the crank like the manufacturer states...

ALot of people are shocked and appauled to hear that the Z does not get anything near 287HP to the wheel's...

Maybe I should have explained that before...

so ill do now

The Z in Manual Transmission gets about 236 Horse Power to the wheels, Auto gets around 227 to the wheels. The 287 HP is to the crank.

300 RWHP NA is hard to get. Jeff's car with Pop Charter / JWT Cam Shafts / Port Polish / NISMO Headers, RT High Flow Cats, NISMO Exhaust, UR Crank Pulley is getting about 280 to the rear wheels.

simplest:

1. aftermarket filter/kit (DYI)
2. cat-back exhaust (DYI)
3. plenum (DYI)
4. ur pulley (DYI/SHOP)

That should give you estimated around 300hp at the engine. maybe more..

if you figure 17% drive train loss... your looking at 238 to the wheels from a 287HP motor...

300HP to the crank and 17% drive train loss is 249 to the wheels... you can get that with high flow cats and exhaust only... thast what i had to the wheels with my highflow cats and exhaust

Hey Jason, I was just at the dealer yesterday asking about this but they were unclear - do you guys support/warrantee the JWT pop charger (assuming you install it) or is the warrantee only good for the nismo CAI?

You know, if Jeff upped CR another point, I'm sure he'd make the 300 WHP.

not that i have seen any problems directly associated with the pop-charger... it is easly removed and replaced with the stock air box...

I would like to do those 46cc heads onmy car... but im broke...
