What I meant is how are you going to make it work?

Will you use a 2jz clutch and modify it to work with the Z transmission or a Z clutch and modify the flywheel to bolt to the 2jz?

The spacer is supposed to allow you to retain the Z clutch and flywheel assy.

3fidzhr has the formula all figured out to get it all working like ItS supposed to.

Picked up a non vvti engine today. 1800

i got a shitty harness and i have plans to go an AEM so i wasnt so worried about the ECU.

At your recomendation i will be going with a custom harness. Freed engineering has done 2jz in alot of things and they are local so i will have them make it when the time comes. When complete im going to take it there to get tuned as well. after the Collins purchases i will be out of cash for a few weeks.

There is a guy where I live said that he has done this before and he made the stock tachometer work with the 2jz with simple electric stuff that you get for under $20.

I will try to contact him ASAP.

i live in florida. but i have a g35. cant think its too far off. i know someone that charges alot but he will make your gauges work.

im not sure if he uses digital boxes to convert the energy or not. that is something ive been debating. i can get a racepak which are freaking sweet. if youve never seen one look them up on youtube and i would all my gauges in a beautiful display, but im worried that would hurt resale later on down the road. im sure people would pay more if it looked stock

I really don't like the look of the racepak.

All the gauges should work easily except the tachometer.

The ls1 guys have the tach thing all figured out.they use an aftermarket one the takes the place of the stock one.

Contact Collins adapters for the plate and spacer. I am working on this now.

If any one is trying to keep a cost count. With this setup I'm looking to slide into home at about 8k total. ThaT is using the eBay manifold for single turbo. They seem to work well on the 2j. That is one that a few people have around my area and are making good power. Also don't have the Cd009 yet and I may get started with out it. Diddnt fit the budget. Had a turbo from my last build too. Probably all in a 11k build for good reliable power.

I thought about using an aftermarket tach and retro fit into stock cluster. But I was able to get something made. As soon as it arrives, I'll update my thread with info on it

I'd like to see this... I'm hoping to set my car to rev past 8k and I don't want to use an external tach or bang off the limiter every shift. Yeah use your ears blah blah, I wanna see the 8.5k I paid for!!!

Buy this and then you can Chang it to front sump. You can find the front upper and lower sump really cheap in ebay.

8- 16 row oil cooler (replica)
9- Radiator expansion tank (replica)

Before you order that heavy pp you should go to supraforums.com and read the sticky on crank walk caused by heavy pp. this is the reason I'm going twin or triple disk.
