Default Good things to mod/replace while swapping VQs

Hey guys! Been reading for years but this is my first post. So I have a rod knock, jdm vq on the way. What are some things I should replace before iy goes in? At least putting some headers on. Newer oil pump? (Its a 2003) pathfinder coolant mod? Haven't researched that yet...anything else?

bare minimum would do a rear main seal, also would consider replacing the clutch especially if much older.

fresh rebuild?
where did you get your block?
What internals do you have inside?
Are you going NA / Turbo / Supercharge?
What do you want out of the car?
What are you going to do with the car after the build?

I would swap transmission fluid / rear diff fluid

belts / hoses / oil / filter / coolant / plugs / camshaft & crank shaft sensors

Clutch / throwout bearing / steel-braided clutch line

I would research other people's build that you want to 'get to' and read their build threads and see what they did...see what worked, see what didnt.

Don't forget motor mounts while you are in there. Much easier doing it now while the engine is out.

I wont be doing more then a few bolt ons. Just a fun commuter really. Reliability is most important. I ordered a jdm motor so something with under 65k.

Lets see... solid motor mounts, poly tranny mount, oem throwout bearing/sleeve. The cast version of the shift fork (03s had flimsy stamped steel), steel clutch line, silicone hoses, spark plugs, fluids and I think thats it

If you have not already ordered them, just stick with poly motor mounts since you have a daily. Less NVH. I wouldn't get solid unless you're making ALOT of power.
