Default guys ....19's front..... 20's rear.....

My car is rolling on 19's now , all the way around, I want to change rims altogether to something more sporty, and go to 19's front, and 20's back.
I want something sporty, inexpensive, and with good lip(s) and good offsets. My offsets now are pretty lame. I want something better in the offset !!!
what rims would look good on my setup. I'm also adding a Veilside 2 wing in a week.
thanks guys.
could somebody maybe photochop some different style(s) of wheels on the car, Thanks....
the reason i want 20's at the back is because the Veilside 2 spoiler is going to overwhelm the 19's.

I DON'T think that larger tires on the rear will make the car look sportier, or better. This isn't a 60's muscle car, it's a japanese import. If you want to go with 20's, go with 20's all around.

IMO, I think some Black Diamond Volk Challenges or GT-C's would look great.

Dude, There are lots of car that have different size rims / tires from front and back, not only HOTRODS. Have you seen any Z's with different size rims front to back ???

can you say " 18's up front, 19's out back ?"

and here we got 20's out back and "you guessed it , 19's up front !!!!! "

i too think that if you want 20", u should do 20" all the way around....not sure but 19"/20" dont sound too good in terms of performance, alignment, TCS/VDC

I went with a 19/20 setup. I wanted more sidewall width to prevent wheel damage over potholes and stuff.

WHOAAAA !!!! that thing looks jacked up in the back, I didnt realize how much difference it would be in height from front to back. Maybe you could put lowering spring only in the back..........
then it would be the ultimate setup!!!!!
maybe lower it 1.5"-2".

It really isn't that bad. I have pics of the rear. Plus I will have to roll the back if I drop it any more.

Ive seen Zs with 19/20 setups and (IMO) the 20 in the rear overpowers the 19 in the front.

What I would do is either go with 20s all around or a set of 19s that are wide in the back (like 10.5) so that they give you a pretty deep lip.

IMHO 20's are a bit too big for our cars. 19's are perfect. I love some of the 5 spoke designs on our cars, and I think that the multi-spoke designs don't really look right.

Won't that really mess with your slip control (VDC)?

+1

YEs it will really screw up traction control unless you get higher profile tires in front and ultra low profile in the rear. No tcs for this guy.

Going taller on the rear wheels looks ghetto on the z. For it to work the car has to be designed with that setup in mind.

sorry reggi, i know how touchy you are on porsches......

i'll compare whatever car to whatever car. It's not just the carrera, its a vette, nsx,prowler..... its an idea that might have looked ok. Now that i've seen it on a Z (19 and 20 at rear) , i personally don't like it.But hey , i'll try anything. I usually don't follow others, they follow me............

im not touchy on Porsches but if something looks good on a carrera gt or a z06 does not mean it will look good on a z.

im just playing about being touchy, I thought it might look ok, because im a cheap bastard and didnt want to pay for the 20's all the way around, but hey, i'll stick with 19's all the way around instead. It's all good in Z land !!!

I have pics of my car with both Axis 7 mods and TSW Thruxton in 19" front 20" rear. I run RO_JA 19" all around now. You can see pics at www.tech-node.net. Look at the version 1 and 2 pics.
