Looks really nice, how long did it take you and what modifications were necessary? Also, is that just your low beems on in the "width" and "front output" shot?

Took me about a month working on the headlights on weekends (50+ hrs of labor in total). Low beam only in all shots. The highbeam is still the stock halogen H4.

S2K Projectors are made by the same company that produces TSX/TL units (Stanley). They are probably one of the best single xenon projectors available and I would have gone with them if they were a tad cheaper. The output is super wide and bright! My only advice is to take your time. If you are going to do this projext and invest all this time. Do it right. This means buying an extra set of headlights while you work on your own.

The strip is lit up via CCFL not LED. I have a custom LED circuit in my clear corners. Here is some info on CCFL:

CCFL Lamp
Cold cathode fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) belongs to gas discharge lamp. In the electric field, radiant energy makes phosphor lighting.

Inside the phosphor coated glass tube, there are rare gases and a slight amount of mercury. By the reason of high electric field between two ends, a few electrons will hit electrodes. Then more and more electrons come out, as a result of this, gas discharge occurs. Mercury atoms will emit 253.7 nm ultraviolet rays.

Features (CCFL)
High brightness, High-Efficiency, Low power consumption and long life.
Excellent vibration and impact resistance.
Durable and excellent blinking characteristics.
Quick start at low temperature.
Small size and light weight.
Low heating.

Applications (CCFL)
Backlighting for LCD.
Light sources for Scanner.
Various types of displays and decorating lights

i actually had the idea of a CCFL for the headlight strip, but i was wondering how you got it to go along with the curve of the light...and was there enough room between the reflector and the base of the housing itself, or did you just cut out a slot for it? you also had to wire in a resistor for the ccfl, right? if you dont mind me asking, where did you get it?

i already do have an extra set of lights, and my friend is selling my his s2k projectors for a really good price, so i cant go wrong there...i did a black housing project a while back, and painted my reflectors black also, and hte light output sucked...hence the projector project!

I had to cut up part of the clearance strip lens to make the CCFL tube fit. The reflector portion of the strip is flat so the light sits there. I would recommend buying a bunch of tubes because they are very easy to break. I got them here: www.svc.com $5 a pop.

They are very simple to wire just splice into the +/- leads. It comes with a 12V inverter.
