Talk about adding WEIGHT...Those things weigh a ton...glad I don't have one in the Z...BUT, lets hope we never need one either!

Engine Fires aren't too cool.

I plan to keep a small one in my cubby behind the passengers seat. I have a lot of aftermarket parts and equipment, you never know. I would not have it visible for ricer appeal but in case of an emergency, I would like to be prepared. I have an FI vehicle and heat is always an issue.

As a former firefighter I keep one in my car, but it's not chrome plated and out there for everyone to see. It's a small Class B extiguisher I got at Sears.

If you're getting a fire surpression system for an engine fire, do not buy an ordinary extinguisher. You'll quickly find out that it won't do a damn thing to surpress the fire. If you really feel the need to have a surpressant, find a system that uses halon. They can be found in smaller containers for around $200.

I strapped a fire ext. to my riding lawn mower after my event last year mowing dry leaves. You know they put the muffler on the lower front of most lawn mowers! My wife never seen me run so fast. Luckily I did have a fire ext. in the garage. Now have one right on the mower. Neighbor got a good chuckle too.

I dont but always think about it. I was going to mount it between the seats where I can grab it quik and most extingushers come apart for refilliing so I was going to have it powdercoated black or whatever
