Imagine all the stuff that'll be 10 times harder to do.
Seeing around the car infront of you to pass on the left, drive thrus and ATM's etc.
I thought about the same thing because it would be cool to be different, but if you did more than drive the car to and from shows, you might find it to be more of a PITA. That's why in Japan they drive on the left

import one from japan...why the F would you do that anyways. are you building a full blown JDM show car? are you from japan and used to shifting with your left hand?
why would you even consider doing that. "I made my US 350 RHD, I'm mad JDM tyte yo and can rock a fairlady badge"

Think about some things like the ebrake being on the "passenger" side of the car. We've done a few RHD swaps for the 240sx guys since the parts are easy to import. The hard parts were the dash, RHD steering rack/shaft, the pedals, the center console (most front clips do not come with this).
If you want full functionality, you'd want the left side cubby behind the seat, Seats since the USDM driver's seat is shaped differently and doesn't hold you as tight, right side window switches and locking switches.
People also do not consider when we do the 240sx swap that the ECU / engine harness is different to allow for the left mounted ECU, which also means that to do it RIGHT you would need a complete chassis harness. The windshield wipers work differently which also means the cowl trip pieces are different.
To answer the "why" --- The stare factor is amazing. Even driving a stock RHD 240sx gets so many stares / thumbs up / comments from everywhere! At least you can go through a Checkers / Rally's drive through without a problem!
