I hope your harness bar is coming along well... I will wait for it before making any moves!
Thanks!

How many airbags does a 350Z have? For my money, ESPECIALLY for a n00b, but it applies to everyone... you WILL be safer in the stock belts, with the passive systems active, than you will with 4-point belts. This is exponentially true with a harness system without any type of Anti-submarining mechanism like Schroth's ASM cartridge.
No one NEEDS harnesses on track until they are at the advanced level and are ready to move up to stickier tires and/or to start competing.
You might do well with a harness for Autocross maybe, and if that's all your doing, then have-at-it. You might roll, but chances are you won't hit anything of any substantial substance.
Having said all that... if you insist on stock seats with harnesses, buy a 6-point system, and run the anti-sub straps from behind the seat, through the joint between the lower cushion and the seatback so you would sit on them, and they'd come up thru your legs. While this is still a compromise, it is the much lesser of many evils, and the only way some clubs will allow harnesses while using stock seats.

I will keep The Tech's and your advice in mind for whatever I decide to do in the coming weeks.

I have the sparco harness bar and I must say that it is nothing special, this would be a great deal if it went through. I had no other option when I got my bar installed and it was an *** raping to say the least...lol. Good luck guys.

Just wanted to update. I've had a small design change that should make the production of the bar easier. This should mean that I can schedule production with my fabricator very soon. Time frame to completion will still be ~6 weeks from that date.
