Looking to smoke my front marker lights on my 07 z. How hard is this going to be? What is a good brand of spray on smoke?

you mean the orange reflectors on the front bumper??? Other wise:

 

if your talking about the orange side reflectors, they are really easy to paint black. Take some plastic primer/plastic black or matte black paint and spray it on. I wont get into the details, just look it up and you will get plenty of diy.

 

yes i am talking about the orange side markers on the front bumper. Should they be removed first?

You can use "night shades" by VHT


soo easy even a Texan could do it.

 

yes you should absolutely remove them from your bumper first, if you want it to look clean and professional

 

i plan on removing them but whats the easiest way?

 

use some leafs to wrap them around and light the one end and start smoking.

 

1) Go to Autozone and buy VHT Night Shades, or plain black spray paint.
2) Remove Reflectors
3) Paint Reflectors

It's that easy. lol

 

An alternative is to put something behind the reflector:

black plastic
black vinyl
contact paper

You can see the results before installing the reflector.

 

I already purchased the tint spray, my question is how hard are the reflectors to remove from the car?

 

easy. It will be much easier if you remove the front bumper, but still very possible if you go through your wheel well. there's a DIY somewhere on here but i'm too lazy to look.

 

I am surprised you also didnt recommend removing the rear bumper cover also to get to the front orange reflectors.

 

Go in thru the wheel well... Thats how i did mine.. the passenger side is kinda a pain in the bunt tho with the washer fluid bottle down there, but it was relatively easy.. i used VHT nightshade, but plastic paint would work too.. I took a few of the under liner plastic screws off so i could get at the screws easily... unless you suck at using hand tools, the paint drying will take longer than taking them off/out

 

What you guys think about just removing the reflectors and not do anything about it?
It looked fine to me at a car show.

Well removing the reflector is same as painting the damn thing, isn't it? lol
