Default What glues will work to for rear spoiler install?

I'm looking to install a stillen spoiler on my Z. I'm not sure if I should use polyurethane, epoxy or if there's another adhesive I should use and where I may be able to pick it up.

I'm looking for a permanent install, no double back tape or anything. I don't want my wing flying away in the freeway. No bolts, don't want my wing to crack or my car rusting.

thanks for the help in advance.

Members generally avoid cement because it is complicated and destructive. Metal must be prepped with a product such as Thixon: http://www.dow.com/products/product_...t-line=1000096

I used 3M Body Molding tape, as well as 4 self-tapping screws to hold my spoiler on.

^^^^ 3M body tape is the industry standard method for attaching spoilers, trim, emblems, etc.

Ok what I did was went to BMW and bought Betalink K1 adhesive, it's a spoiler glue that's used on BMWs. I picked it up at the dealer, just $14.95+tax. I picked up my spoiler and Mad eyelids from MOB Works in Anaheim. They did an excellent job on the paintwork.

3M tape and spoiler bolts if applicable. I've heard of some members just using the 3M tape with no problems.

I think i'm going to give m3 tape a shot, because I can do my install solo and there's more room for error as far as adjusting the wing goes. The double back tape that came with the stillen spoiler suck *** and gave me a bad impression of double back, then my eyebrows came with m3 double back and I noticed a good bond. worst comes to worst and 1st sign of the wing loosening up I'll use my glue. I'll be posting pictures today

I don't think there's "much room for error" with that 3M tape, so you'd better get it right the first time. It's like contact cement, and there's no adjusting once contact between the two surfaces is made.

actually i had 3 chances to get it right. 1st time the top of the spoiler made contact while aligning the bottom. I had troubles with the spoiler flexing the wrong directions. 2nd attempt same thing. I then removed the top section of the tape and applied new tape. 3rd attempt was a success. I think if i used glue and had trouble with the fender flexing out of place, it could have been messy considering the size and flexibility of the spoiler.

I meant you get one try without having to rip off/reapply tape.
