Default Need some input from you guys about this item

Hey guys, just need some feedback from the community about these LED tail lights. I want to replace my OEM 03 tail lights and upgrade to LED's from the 06+ models, but the OEM's are soooo expensive. So I found these on ebay..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...item2560dbb504

What do you think? Worth it? Not worth it? Some advice would be appreciated.... they look close enough to the OEM's. Thanks in advance, everyone.

Glad you asked... Some will bash them and say they can mess up your ECU because of some different voltage regulators or what not but those are the EXACT same one i bought for my 03 base. i think they are ok. not as sexay as the OEM but for the price you cant beat them. when i installed mine the side that meets the quarter panel wont sit flush. there are two snaps that snap into the quarter but guess they do not snap in properly. gues thats aftermarket for you.
Cant beat it for the price tho. had mine for a year now and no issues except the flushnes on sides.

Not even really noticable. just a few pics so you can see what i mean. Hope i helped.

Thank you Z enthusiast.... really helps. I'll think about it. OEM's are just insanely expensive.... I think I saw a like-new one selling for 200 (ONE light). Ugh... I'd love to get these LED's. So I'll just think about it.... I have an OCD about fitment issues (even if it is hardly noticeably, I freaking notice it lol).

You helped a lot! Thank you!

If you think tails are expensive, do me a favor and sell your car and get a Honda!

Be weary of fading lenses. If I were you I'd keep looking for some douche who threw altezzas on his car who's selling his stockers so he can get one step closer to his 20" chrome rims

lol I love some of the things you guys have to say. No, there won't be rotas in my future and no, I won't sell the car and buy a civic.

gixxert, thanks man I appreciate that.

juju, haha yeah I was thinking about just waiting until someone is selling their OEM lights. I'm not in a rush.

Thanks bbs. Yeah, I know I'd rather have the OEM ones. I just wanted to see what the community had to say about those because I know aftermarket stuff isn't too great. But apparently two people so far have them and there doesn't seem to be any issues. Good feedback

^just ran across this and immediately thought of this. the op (vas) had significant power loss, went through a bunch of trouble, ended up being his taillights he bought on ebay

NICE find bbs. Very nice. This is exactly why I turned to the forum - I freaking hate changing things on cars because I know a bunch of stupid things can happen following it. Damn good find you probably just saved my @$$ man. Thanks A LOT!!! OEM it is when I can. /thread.

If u add the resistor (sp) it cures that problem. That's what I did and actually have a spare set.

cheap prices for quality items are possible with patience.

I upgraded to 06 headlights, 06 taillights, and had lightwerkz do a paint, sti lens and halo, and had the rears sprayed blackout and still only paid 1300 for everything.

I too had issues w aftermarket taillights btw.

Good you are staying away and possibly wait till you can afford at least a used OEM 06+
Been there. Couple years ago I was like, geeze, not paying hight bucks for wheels, went with Ruff 280s, now I hate them. Good thing I am now gonna be able to buy some Volks but I could have saved the money wasted on the Ruffs. Selling them won't be easy either.
