You need to post a photo showing the tires before you painted them black. What color tires did you have before? When I was a kid I remember having red tires on a bike once.

So the person who will park right next to me is as far away as possible; hence not a single scratch or scuff on my 03Z. The lot gets filled by the evening.

Because it's temporary and I can get it off anytime I want. Also, I'll probably sell my car after I'm done with graduate school which is in two semesters, I was thinking it would be a waste to buy a set of wheels for 1k and then give it away with the car.

OR this

They're called wheels. Not tires, not rims, not dubs, not shoes, not blades... Wheels.

I called them rims or wheels, but yea wheel is the proper word.

the stock wheels in original finish with a set of spacers, would have looked better imo.
and no to the black emblem with either wheel color.

So the more I read into this and watch the videos, the more interested I am of trying it out.

My questions:

How does it hold up to road rash? Say I wanted to do the front bumper lower lip on my V2. I suppose I'd have to sand it down and prep it. What do you guys suggest?

Has anyone else use this process to refinish their major exterior parts?

I plasti dipped my front lower OEM bumper long time ago. Held up fine. DO NOT SAND AND PREP. This isnt paint, it will stick to wax lol... No need to sand ur original clearcoat or paint off. Just wipe with a towel or something just to clean the surface and start spraying.

according to the online videos from dip your car, you just wash it and make sure its clean no need to sand or anything like that been highly considering doing my whole car matte black.

Unfortunately, I've got some nasty (IMHO) road rash that I've been meaning to patch over with some fiberglass resin or something, then sand it down and repaint it. Thanks for the tip, though. I guess the plastidip just fills in the pits and scratches.
