VHT wheel and hi temp clear...honestly any will do, dip holds paint well. Just lay it on thick so you can take it off at a later date if need be

Gotta be patient and wait for paint/dip to cure before trying to install it.

I did the door handles today as well even though I've become somewhat anti Plastidip.

Default Plasti-Dip For Road Trip Protection?

I'm driving from Phoenix to Chicago at the end of August. I'm thinking of using plastidip on my front bumper has any one used this before? Would it hold up?

Its baaaack!
I thought the Plastidip craze was long gone.
You want to do your entire bumper in Plastidip?
What color is your car(black I am assuming).
So,when your trip is over, you plan on taking it off?
If your concern is nicks&road scratches, why not just buy a bra
for your bumper?
I would'nt do it

Automotive painters tape did it from Minnesota to north Carolina. Works perfect more layers if desired.

Painters tape is the cheaper and quicker option imo, but I have also thought of this for long road trips.

Plastii is pretty fast! I don't think it's as thick as tape though!

Great use for the thing, rather than dipping ever emblem on the car!

I would, two to three cans should do it. I like the ease of taking off the Plastidip, peels off like vinyl. Painter's tape is cheaper though.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I might go with the plastidip about 20 bucks for 3 cans.
