Which Reverse Lights Are Best 4 My Situation:HID or L.E.D.
The Situation: To start off I have 15% tint all around(Texas Heat). My apt complex has covered parking and I usually park in the corner where 2 beams/poles separate my car from whoever parks next to me. Pretty much if you hit my door and put a dent in it, you were trying really hard to put a dent in it.
Well at night some of those places lightening can get pretty bad when backing up with the tint on my car. I bought a sound system and back-up camera; it helps now but with my future plans, my stock lights wont be enough lightening I don't think.
My future plans are to tint my tails and reverse turn lights dark enough for the "blacked out look". The tint wont be super black where day or night you wont see light but I know my stock reverse bulbs as of now wont do.
The Question:
I've been eying HID reverse lights but don't feel like paying a shop to install them since I've install them before on other cars BUT I don't want to deal with the headache installing them myself with finding a location for the ballast etc
With L.E.D.s, installing them with resistors would be easy but I'm wondering if the L.E.D.s would be even close to the amount of light output that I would need like I'm sure I would get with HID's.
I want to get this right on the first try so what would you recommend I go with??
L.E.D. and H.I.D. reverse pics are welcome Also for smart asses that say"don't park backwards", that's not an option. With my dark tint, someone could get into my car and rip the guts out at night without anyone noticing. with it park backwards, it helps against thieves
Foot Notes for those not wanting to read long paragraphs
Barely could back into parking at night cuz of tint
bought back up camera to help
plan on tinting reverse turns for "clean" look, which bulb would you choose, HID or LED

Come clean...the intensity of lighting to see where you are backing has nothing to do with it.LED's,HId's---decisions,decisions.
Whatever you think will look cooler is the right answer.
Maybe LED on the right.HID on the left?
Why not?
