Default Trying to choose the right seat

Sup fellas. Need some help finding me a decent replacement "race car" seats to replace this cheap @$$ ebay seats.

I don't need anything that's race car approved but just a better seat that's comfy and offers stability. I went back to post from like 2010 but nothing really helps.

Stock?
Or do you need something specifically for the track or you want lightweight?
Also, post the seats you have now

Budget?

I've always liked Scheel seats. (Believe they are now called Scheel-Mann) Comfortable and solid even for aggressive use. They don't (or didn't) have the "extreme" side bolsters on the seat or back but enough to keep you from moving around. Less aggressive than Bride or Recaro, also great seats. I've owned Scheel and Recaro in my BMWs and Datsun/Nissan S30 and 300ZX (factory Recaro) with a slight edge in comfort to Scheel. (But that's a personal thing.)

But note, I've not had a set for many decades; but worth a look. I think the current Scheel line are sub-$2k/seat with mounting rails. And do a careful assessment of mounting size, interior real estate in the 33 isn't huge (which you know after owning many).

With your height, I'm guessing you probably don't want a fixed position "race style" set up unless you try out enough of them to find the ideal position seat; taking into account helmet room if you do eventually track the car. There are enough options for a reclining dual purpose seat.

Best seats for the car IMO are Recaro Sportster CS. LMK if you want pics, we are similar sizes and I love mine outside of how high they sit. If you don't mind not having a slider they can be brought down tho.

I can take better clear pics tomorrow but this will give you an idea. There's a reason Nismo uses them in the, Z, juke, etc.
