question about the EU. If you were to disconnect the battery overnight, would that erase your maps on the EU?

btw, I disconnected my battery and it solved my dome light issue

The eManage settings are stored in flash memory chips, so the setting are always safe, even with the battery disconnected. So if you need to disconnect your battery, you will not lose anything.

Couple common places for mounting the ECU are behind the carpet, on the tray just below the dash, and behind the kick panel on the right side of the passenger compartment.

Yeah, credit goes to Eric at CP Racing for that one..he showed me how it fit...didnt think it would squeeze in there.

yeah mine is mounted on the side too, the USB cable even tucks away down there. I have the connector under the dash area and you just pull it out which pulls the cabling out of from behind the plastic covering on the side. Great mounting place.

Yeah, thanks to Eric, he ran the USB cable into compartment where my navagation cd would go if I had navi. You can see it next to the boost controller.

Oh yes..that made tuning such a dream..nothing to move or reach for. Most people dont know this, but Eric from CP Race did car stereo installs back in the day, so he is very skilled in wiring, and concealment techniques.

i'll have to take a pic of my ninja install...
i cut out a piece of plastic a bit smaller than the size of the EU...stuck heavy duty velcro on one entire side of the plastic...
then bolted that piece under the dash (this is where the pics would come in handy)...then EU velcros to the plastic sheet, so you really get a good positioning on the unit so that everything else fits together in the dash assembly and other plastics...
then the usb is run to my coin holder (behind the stick shift)...so you open the little tray and the usb cord is coiled up there...

*pics coming soon

Sharif,

I can not communicate with my EU. I spoke with Eric and he told me maybe I have the old software. I have now down loaded version 1.08, but I still can't communitcate. When I go to the communicate field it will not let me highlight or choose any of the options in that menu. What am I doing wrong?

Does it say "offline" in the bottom right corner of the screen? If so, your computer probably hasnt picked up the new hardware, and you will need to manually install the USB drivers.

Call my cell....

Should be a couple more weeks. The first batch of production versions are completed, but its my understanding that Jermaine wants to include some drivable base maps....so customers can start their cars and head to the dyno.

I've probably missed the threads, but has ANYONE here increased the rev-limiter using the EU yet? If so, how far have you increased it? What did your timing/fuel look like past the stock limit point?

Thanks.

Rev limit cannot be raised with the EU. At least, that was the case a couple of months ago. I'm sure Sharif will have any updates.
