APS ST SES light on..help please
Anyone know what it could possibly be and where I can take it to see what it is exactly. Did someone say autozone can check it for free? or are there any other places that wont charge an arm and a leg. I wonder if its due to the deletion of the cats.... Thanks for any help guys
Also if it helps the light came one when I didnt have any gas in my car. I just filled up and now it still wont go off but I'll have to check again in a few hours.

Yeah, you can go to Autozone, Advance Auto, etc, and they should be able to plug it in and check the code for free.
The plug is down and to the left of the wheel, right below your hood release.

Unfortunately you are probably going to get this on and off because of the ST. Anytime you scale for injectors it is going to throw these codes intermitently(p0300 - random misfire). I just bought a $125 scanner and leave it under my passenger seat. It's much easier than doing the throttle pedal hastle. Hasn't happened to me much but I like having the scanner anyways in case something else weird happens. I will probably throw the code more than you though due to my cams and port & polish. If this is the code(p0300) according to other people on this board it does not effect performance. Hope I help.

I'm running 1 step colder plugs and a shielded CAS wire. We've been trying to determine what might cause it, and I'm starting to think it's a crank angle sensor issue. My car was produced in Aug 02 and others in the VIN range had a CAS recall. For some strange reason, mine did not get recalled.
I don't think there's an actual problem to be concerned with unless it repeatedly throws the code whilst under boost. It's just kind of annoying, that's all.

I installed the APS TT about a month ago, almost 2000 miles since then. I was expecting some codes to be thrown off, especially at first. I never got any, nothing, nada. I have a reader and can reset them if I need to.
I know that doesn't help your situation, but good luck and let us know....

My car is an 04 model......and I just reset the code...it was multiple cylinder misfires so I'm not worried. I now have about 3k miles on the turbo so I'm racking up miles quickly. Everything seems to be holding up nicely...even after my little accident.. Thanks for all the help guys...
