Would going back down to -30 oil lower pressure?

When I went to a 10w40, I didn't notice a real increase in oil pressure. What I noticed is the oil pressure stays at the higher PSI range longer after startup. This is obviously due to the thicker oil taking a bit longer to get up to temp. After that, the oil pressure was about the same as with 5w30, except it doesn't fluctuate as quickly. If you rev, you notice the PSI rise and fall slower than with the lighter weight oil.

Just a follow-up post to an old thread. I'm the guy Spdkils referred to in post #19. I drove my car all the way from OR to CA and Z-Car Garage cured my smoking problem. I don't know how and I don't care. I can't see any smoke, and the cars around me aren't rolling down their windows to tell me how much I'm smoking. If your car smokes, do what I did: Take a drive. I didn't want to post anything until I'd actually confirmed it was cured.

The mystical and magical smoking fix is:
Replacing the stock oil restrictors with smaller ones.
