Nope... gonna mount it in a different location so there is no 90 degree exit from the up pipe. That 90 degree mounting is likely the problem here.

I skipped over the measly 44 and went firectly to 48.

I just got the TN Kit for the G35 coupe, I have a 2003 6mt

At this very moment my only mod is the HKS Dual Hi Power Ti Exhaust

I'm worried about everything I have just read in this thread, Do you guys think I will be facing a problem. My plan is to keep to run the kit the way it is suppose to be run, I also have the stock exhaust, do you think I should put that one on instead?

Im worried, Any ideas?

I honestly wouldn't worry about it until it becomes an issue for you. There is another guy here (D350Z10) who has the EXACT same modified exhaust I have, and he never had this issue with the Evolution, so don't sweat it....get the install done and go from there.

+10000 If it aint broke dont fix it till it is. Install the kit as planned. If an issue arises then it can be remedied. But like was said before with 30+ members with this kit installed we are looking at a small percentage of people who had an issue. And of course most of them had essentially straight pipes installed on the car

Don't sweat it. I'm very happy with my TN G35 kit.

Granted it's only been on the car for about 8 hours or so.

Just remember that the ATS single disc is rated at just 320 crank hp, or 400 crank hp with the 1300kg pressure plate. It is a really wimpy clutch. We recommend the twins and triples for FI. They can hold between 700-1500 crank hp, depending on the configuration.

I HAD the 1600kg Pro Spec single carbon with CCM pressure plate which SHOULD have been good up to approx 525 flywheel horespower. I'm making about 450fwhp.

Well...... my turbo ate it for lunch.

I am replacing it with the ATS twin carbon clutch. $2000 more dinero.

I will send the single carbon clutch back to ATS and they will rebuild it. Then I will offer someone a sweet deal on it.

So you had the mack daddy of single disc clutches. How did you manage to destroy this clutch??

Hey Jet, you might want to consider the 1350kg pressure plate on that twin. BTW, we are the largest distributor of VQ35 ATS product in the country. Give us a call if you havent ordered already.

Just by getting on it.... and just from a roll even. No launches. No power shifting. It just started slipping.

I would go from a 4000 rpm roll @ about 30 mph. The clutch just started slipping one day and got progressively worse each time I went WOT.

I got the 1100 Kg twin carbon with the standard compound and lightweight flywheel. I bought it already. I took whatever Yasu had in stock as I can't wait for a shipment from Japan. The 1100Kg should be good for 700 fwhp they say. I will see soon if that is true.

Make sure to break it in for 1000miles. I know it will be torture, but the clutch will last longer, and perform better.

With my success with the Tilton Rally clutch / flywheel combo the fact that it holds 690tq @ flywheel........and costs a little over 1,000..... I wonder why more people dont have it.....
