So how did you mount it? Is it venting to atmosphere and if so is it LOUD?
Was it the dump pipe causing the issue or what? Trying to understand the issue with the WG angle. Got pics? Thx man.

I talked to my shop about this and they said that they were pretty sure that it had to do somthing with the tune... Since you you have the UTEC you should be set and hopefully have no more problems!!! Along with that IF you look at my pics... my waste gate also dumps out to the atmosphere!! pics.... www.putfile.com/d350z is yours like this????
The flash was fine. 12.5 pounds of boost was not fine.

Where is the new location? and what spring size are you using in the turbosmart?
Do you think that the evolution wg in the new position you put the wg would control the boost? Was it worth that change to keep the Pro1

The spring in the Turbosmart wastegate is 7psi. It boosted 6.5 without a boost controller installed.
The wg is loud as sh*t. But it's only loud on boost. It's tolerable for daily driving if you stay off boost.
I can't estimate if the Evolution would control boost mounted in place of my Turbosmart wastegate. But paying for a custom install I wasn't going to chance doing it again since the mounting flanges for the wastegates are different.
In my opinion the Evolution is best suited to Civic type installs.

Your right. I thought maybe with a larger gate and the out-of-the-box setup he may have gotten it to work. I am not totally understanding the location issue or how moving the gate will help it flow any better. Maybe pics will help.
The exit for the wastegate is 90 degrees off the exhaust flow as provided with the TN kit. Not very efficient. The new gate was oriented with a direct flow of high velocity exhaust. No more inneficient 90 degree turn.

How did you mount it so that its not at 90 degrees. Did you weld the flange at an angle or something?
Is the Evolution WG out all togother now too?
We welded a pipe to the up pipe and mounted the wastegate to the pipe. Much more efficient mounting. Yes the evolution was removed, and a block off plate was used.
