Exclamation Turbonetics + which set of tires?

What is the stickiest, long lasting tire out there. I am currently running Potenza pole setters 275/35/18 rears and 245/35/75 front, and 10 inch wheels and getting no traction at all when I track the car through 4th gear . I have heard the nitto 555's are good, any opinions? My tires do great in the curves but terrible on the drag strip , is there a compromise?

I was looking at the kdw 2's, they look cool, and I can get a good deal on them. Alberto don't you run 19's, does that make a difference?

The 555 is a decent tire... but after a while of use they get verrry hard and have no traction what so ever. I have driven on the KDW2s on my car as well and they seem to do alot better than the Nittos, and they should last a long time too. Good luck.

ive heard some bad things about the 555's. imo bfg kd are way better. the kd-w will not perform as well as the regular kd since its rated for rain.

or if you really want some good stuff, bf-g drag radials...

Sticky and long lasting. They work against each other. Do you want to hook up? Or do you want long lasting tires. One or the other. Not both.

Best compromise, I understand that you can't have both, but I drive the car more than I race it, that's where the question originates.

I've been using Bridgestone S-03 Pole Postion for about 17k miles and they have been good to me. If I don't get another set of those I will be getting BFG KDW2s . I currently run 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear but will be moving to a 255/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear if they are avail..

i am running the nittos right now. they suck! worst rain tire i have ever used. i ran the toyo ts-1's before that, awesome tire in the rain and dry, but i went through them in about 5-6k miles. i run kdw's on my vette and they offer really good traction in both rain or dry and the compound actually will last a long time. i could bairily do a power brake in the dry with 400hp when they were new. luckily i have a full extra new set and will be using those on the Z when i burn the nittos off.

I am running Michellin PS2's 285 30 20r and 255 35 20f and couldn't be happier. I wish I could find the web site but the PS2's were rated best streetable tire overall, traction, rain, and handling. They are a bit expensive but you won't be sorry.

Had Toyo T1s's not the best for drag. Have ps2's 275/35 rears now and the traction is way better than the toyos. Had problems with traction in 3rd when i first put them on but now that they are broken in about 2000 miles they catch like a dream. I definitely would get them again. Btw I am also running 19's.
