Just an FYI.....Supras with the AEM(no matter how good the tuner always have a problem with cold start and initial warmup). It has to see the crank signal a couple of times before it gets going.

Interesting - mine has no problems with cold start or warm-up at all... even in the winter... on C16!

You must have only seen Supra's that Larry tuned.

Youre so funny Jim!!

When tuned properly, as with any standalone, the car will start perfectly!

Show me a Supra with AEM that starts in sub 50F temps without having to crank it for 5 or more seconds!!! It's a minor problem but a known problem. I was just giving a heads up.

You can come see mine. The excessive cranking is related to tuning... like Larry said... if it's done properly it will start just as well as the stock ECU.

In Orlando it's prob. an issue because it doesn't get that cold (so probably overlooked by the tuner)... but I can guarantee that Lar's customers would be pissed if their cars didn't start when it's cold out... which is like 99% of the time in Chicago right?

How about you show me one tuned by a competant tuner that doesn't! If there is a problem, it is related to warm up enrichment... Do you think the computer somehow cares how cold it is outside? As with ANY computer, it only does what you tell it to do.

only problems i've heard of with supras, is my buddy's because he doesn't run an IAT, so he set a base temp, and when the OAT was below what he set it at, it ran poorly.

other than that he's made over 800whp, lol.

I was hoping it would be slightly cheaper. I already have the $400 UEGO and am about to buy a temp sensor and gauge. Can this be purchased w/o the UEGO and other components?

Whoa... $3g's for the entire system?!

It obviously sounds like it's the END-ALL engine management system, but $3,000 is outrageous.
