Correct. A lot of guys on here have some form of wideband whether it be the PLX, the innovative or the AEM.

I have seen the AEM EMS on websites for around $1700 I think. Plus, I know the UEGO runs for $375-420 depending on where you get it from. That leaves roughly $900 on the map sensor, and all other included sensors and the harness. This may not be too bad of a price afterall if the price of the EMS unit itself is in line with what I remember seeing online!

I love AEM and the product is great but the price needs to be abit lower. I guess im going Unichip on the Z but damn it still might be up in the air. AEM has no Bluetooth connectivity! thats a awsome feature of new UNIChip

Are you kidding? Do you have any idea what other systems sell for? And they aren't plug N play ( which is worth more in my opinion becuase you don't have to destroy your car to put one in). How much is an engine to buy, and R & R with labor....I guarantee it's more than 3k. If your car is stock....probably not the wisest mod unless you know you are going forced induction, if you are going forced induction or nitrous even, then you get perfect tunability, factory drivability, and you don't blow SH*& up! It takes alot to make the system plug and play, and that is not cheap.

ive seen and tuned other systems like Motec and Tech 3. but 3k and it doesnt even control the VTC and needs the stock ecm for TC and gauge cluster. seems like parallel managment but that doesnt mean it wont work. im sure it works well and its about damn time AEM released the major players 350z and srt4 market

Seems like a good deal to me. If I didn't already have the FCON I would definately consider this EMS. Good job!

Nope, not kidding. It sounds like I can do the same thing with the UTEC, minus a few bells and whistles like the traction control and 2 stage launching? Am I missing something here?

I dont like the Utec interface and you really need a load based dyno for it

I can post it on the AEM forums if you like?

I developed this kit with a lot of help from AEM but remember this kit was not developed by AEM which is why you will not see much about it on the AEM forums.

I heard aem gave up big time on the EMS due to complexity of the vtc

seems like your running a EMS univ unit with map temp and map sensor along with the harness you pined out correct?

yea the 2 step woud be nice but pretty much everything else you can do with the utec for a nice chunk less.

i guess when i get up there with the 600-800 hp guys ill think different. but right now i think the utec is the best option in my situation
