Default "The other 350Z site"

I have been trying to do as much research as possible about sinlge turbo kits before I take the plunge. Now I have seen my share of one sided thinking on this forum but nothing like I have seen at the "other Forum" I mean they really bash the TN single kit. It's like an advertisement for APS. What ever happened to sharing ideas and what not. It almost makes me not want to get into and aps kit as to avoid being lumped into the same group. Is it just my experience or is that site anti anything but APS? Just my impression, seems like here I at least get some positive feedback in either direction based on my goals etc.

tech is more balanced, too.
add: it all started here w/ the big tn vs aps battle. then, aps got kicked off this site, and the aps guys went over to motoring w/ peter.

I have been around these 350Z forums for what seems like forever. I know what you are talking about and it is not restricted to one site vs. another. Get what YOU WANT TO GET and don't worry to much about the "this product vs. that product" rhetoric. Unless both sites are in agreement about a poor product, you are probably not going to have any problems.

The lack of technical knowledge over there scares me. If I have a tech question, I go here to ask.

I read all the forums. Heres my thoughts. APS has put out the best FI kit IMO. Its the most complete kit out of the box. Theres been much R&D on this kit. People that have bought this kit see that and thats why they bought it. They in turn want to share their thoughts. It really doesnt matter what kit people have they want to share their thoughts. I see TN guys saying that the TN kit is the best. I also see Greddy guys that think their kit is the best. Ive owned the Vortech, Greddy and APS. Aps is by far the best kit out of the box. Facts are facts! Im not one of those guys that buy something and preach about how great the part is. If its not good IMO I get rid of it. Do YOUR research and buy what YOU think is best!
As for the forum's isnt motoring newer then my350? If so that might be why its pro APS. You see a lot of pro greddy guys on my350 I think because it came out about the time of this site.

Hence the reason why I sometimes find myself typing apsmotoring.com when I visit it...

Actually, I don't see many people here that truly consider their own setup the "best". People on this forum (including myself) seem to agree that what is "best" is the kit that fits your own needs and goals.

I agree with everyone else. I have the Vortech and wanted the TN prior to its coming out. I read all the crap about how it was a horrible design, etc and that kind of swayed me against getting the TN kit. Now, after the kit has been out for about a year, it has been proven to be another good F/I alternative. You can get great power out of almost every F/I kit on the market! I like my Vortech, but I wish I had stuck it out and got what I really wanted! As many have said, get what YOU want. You are paying for it so get whatever you want and whatever fits your needs/wants. You will be a lot happier if you get exactly what you want and you don't want to get one kit installed and then find out you dislike it and then go get you a different kit! I presume it gets really expensive really quickly!

You do realize you never stated any facts just your opinion before you said facts are facts right? Also which kit are you talking about, the ST or TT? Your smoking crack if you think the ST is the FI answer, the TT might be for those that like its power characteristics and bloated price.

you can ask anything over at motoring and get people telling you to get aps

"what exhaust should I get"
APS APS APS

"ok cool I was thinking about getting HF cats, what ones are good?"
get APS APS APS test pipes

I was thinking of getting a spacer or possibly a new plenum, what would be a good one to get?
APS APS APS

"I'm thinking of staying NA but still want to get some really good power out of the engine, what do you guys suggest?"
APS ST APS ST APS ST

I was thinking of getting a SC. I don't need crazy amounts of power, just something to give me a kick
"APS ST APS ST APS ST"

"I don't really like how turbos sound with the squeeking BOV and the quietness and want something aggressive sounding. I was thinking of getting a SC, what do you think?"
"APS ST with APS test pipes"

I want to get the TN kit cause it's cheaper and I like how it's designed. There isn't a unichip dealer anywhere near me. What do you guys think of the kit?
"Get APS ST because water cooled ball bearing bla bla bla and drive 6 hours to this place for tuning"

"Everyone seems to be having weird smoking problems or such and such issue with their APS kit and I haven't seen anything quite like that with the TN kit."
"resistence is futile, APS will assimilate you"

The facts as i have researched, TN out of the box will provide more power!

its is currently the only Single kit that has stages to upgrade to... stage 1 - kit, 1.5 kit with programmable unichip q and opt meth inj and fuel return, stage 2 t66 and better fuel..

Aps could possibly come with a st extreme, but IMO until aps gets away from internally wastegated setups (except the Extreme) i vote TN. not to mention there have been many problems on dragging with the APS ST on lowered cars! Which I happen to have a very low ride!
