Glad you are with Sam. He is the best with customer service...if I lived in SoCal, I wouldn't be taking my car anywhere else. You should be back on the road fast.

was out in vegas trying to recover some of the engine money but no dice...I just came in fairly even

Spoke to Sam on Friday and it was definetely one of the fuel pumps. He's trying to get a hold of APS to figure out what could have caused it and for warranty issues
so basically nothing new but I'm sure he'll figure it out soon

well nothing good. The other fuel pump blew as well and they are still working on it.
I am seriously starting to consider selling the car and just get a supra or a 300zx, something that has been proven to actually work I am so damn frustrated about this.
The fact that Sam is pretty much the best there is and he is struggling on a solution for so long now makes it even more depressive.
I have seen my z for 1 week in the last 3 months and get really sad everytime I see a Z on the street.
Even if they finally get it solved (again, this is not against Sam, he has been working his *** off on this) they still need to install the cage before I can race it and that will take time and money again, so I don't think I'll be able to compete this year anymore and just try to go to my happy place whenever something reminds me that I used to have a z...

damn it's that bad huh? Sorry to hear... Any word from APS? Do you think this is a sole issue in regards to your system, or something that would affect all APS extreme fuel systems?

Man you can't sell. Any way you can scrap the APS fuel system and run another kit while those components get looked at or replaced?

I am sure Sam is working on a fix. And in a worse case scenario, I am sure they can put together a replacement fuel system to easily support 700whp+. Dont give up...your car is awesome. Just one minor hiccup which can be quickly solved.

He is and I'm still hoping there will be a fix soon, I just don't have another 2k lying around for a different fuel system + install.
I was hoping to get some sponsorship based on good IDRC performances but I already missed 2 out of the 3 events this year and from what it looks like I'll miss the finals as well. So it's all out of pocket and no fun.

I'm just really frustrated since there's no light at the end of the tunnel and the racing is my only outlet these days.
Anyway, enough whining from me for today, time for bed

Tom,
I understand how you feel man. It is very frustrating not having the car for so long, seeing other Z's and then once you get the car back... Something else happens after a week or two and it goes back in for work again.

Good luck with everything man. And try to hold on.
