Give it a shot since it's like 20 bucks to try those.. but I don't think anyone has fixed this problem in a budget minded manner lol.

I tried UTEC tuning the stock ECU on my auto Z first. Did not throw any codes but idle in P or D wasn't smooth and the RPM "surged" by about 500 RPM when coasting downhill or towards a stop.

Then I had the ECU flashed by Technosquare. Now I'm getting P1283 codes all the time. Idle in P or D has been smoothed out, however, my RPM still "surges" when coasting downhill or towards a stop but only by 250 RPM.

even with UTEC or FLASHED ecu I believe it would still throw a code since MAF senses more airflow than normal, so computer will sense that "it's not getting enough fuel when it does"... i.e. F/I guys. They have their EMS tuned for optimal A/F ratio but still have these codes. I think as of now the O2 simulator would be the only fix to these or a black piece of tape over the SES light . Please don't quote me, these are simply my own opinions.

So has anyone actually solved the P1283/1274 codes, or did everyone just give up?

In my head, it seems to be a phantom code that does nothing to the way the car drives. Just comes on to alert you to a problem that doesn't exist. If your on Osiris, just have the code your getting disabled....problem solved...lol

Osiris reflash the ecu and turn off all the sensors you dont need to pass emisions.
