Default Im dying to build my motor...

but I dont plan on getting a new kit. since im running the aps single, i dont want to go down to 8.5 CR just to gain only 50-75hp. im curious what some of you guys think a safe CR would be, to maximize hp and not force my turbo out of its eff range, also i dont want to have to upgrade the aps fuel system, maybe injectors but nothing else. i know thats the problem with the stock aps fuel system. id probably ditch the unichip and go with a UTEC as well. i only run 93 octane. if you cant tell, im trying to be a cheap ***.

im thinking 9.5-10.0 CR, UTEC, bigger injectors, and sharif to build and tune, and 500whp is safe and easy. maybe even some meth inj.

any thoughts?

of course rods, id get a basic short block buildup, but there isnt much to think about when it comes to rods. my main concern is the CR.

i think 9.5 would be perfect but of course thats my opinion and you would need rods also...i think the mods you listed would be just fine and i'm sure the clutch you have now would is fine. i have a set of 9.5 pistons f/s if interested

I think 9.5 should be fine...I mean it's still less than stock and we've all been running that since the beginning. Thats probably what I'll end up going with eventually

ah youre right, its 10.3 not 11.3, 10 is probably a bit too high. 9.5 it will be.

Right on Tig! You always seem to be on the same page as me... I'm also thinking about the build up, but I'm a cheap @$$ as well... Actually exterior mod is getting too expensive.. I can't afford fully built engine.. I want the BARE MINIMUM BUILD UP. SGP's $2750 short block would be it... But then I want Arias piston with eagle rod. My WHP goal would be high 400WHPs. I don't know if I really need the Arias ED pistons either. I'm also leaning towards the UTEC as well.
