Default So i was washing my car today ...

and as I finished I moved it to the street and couldn't help but notice that I couldn't get my car to go past 1000 rpms no matter how much I pushed the gas. I could barely get my car into gear let alone get it to move. I turned off the car and started it and again and I was ok but now I have my check engine light on now. I only put this in the forced induction section because I have had so many problems with my car since I put it on. I got my new aps exhaust on yesturday along with a new coupler but I don't think that's the problem. Help me out again guys!

Thats odd. Do you have a 6MT? Did you wash your engine?

sounds like you soaked your air filter which got water on the MAF. Give it time to dry out, reset the ecu.

Prob. the MAF, unplug the battery overnight. Let the ECU reset as well.

Thats exactly why i never pressure wash an engine. I will not do it. Once your engine gets older, vacum lines and things like that become brittle. Have fun pressure washing and breaking every single one. When i buy a car if it has a spotless engine bay and its used, it makes me think there are oil leaks they are tyring to hide.

Glad your back on the road. Do what I do. Considering I have a carbon fiber hood with many vents. I always wrap up the air filter before washing.
