Default Any Twin Turbo for the 2006 350Z

Everyone,

I just trade my 04 for an 06, does any one know who has a TT kit for the 06. I have the APS TT but it will not fit on the 06 on less the installer customized/lower the engine. I rader sell it and buy something that is plug and play on the 2006 350z.

THX!
Cesar

JWT and PE fit for sure. TN can be made to fit by switching the steering rack in from an 03' and modifying the downpipe and chargepipe going to the MAF. Not sure about the Greddy....

If all he has to do is change the steering rack. Then Cesar don't sell the kit just do that. First thing you have to do is verify the 03 rack will work with no problems.

We have installed the APS TT kit on a few 06 350z's. All you have to do is modify the steering knuckle to make it fit. You don't have to change the complete steering rack.

the kits fit on the 06...motor mount needs to be shimed about 3/16th of an inch.

We didn't even have to shim the motor mounts. We found a way to make the modification to the steering knuckle only and still have the clamping force as it did from the factory.

Thats terrific....glad you got it working. Since we remove the engine/trans for the turbo installs, its really easy to shim. But sounds like the steering knuck mod works too.

Sharif, are you sure you're talking about the 06? I can't believe only a shim will provide clearance. Even the 03-05s required minor grinding of the knuckle. In that case, I could see how just a shim would work. On my 06, I had to modify the knuckle and shim the LHS of the motor about 1/8". The top of the manifold almost touches the strut bar.

We pull the motor/tranny as well, we just didn't want to shim the engines due to changing driveline angles, etc.

The turbonetics requires the rack change becasue of how the power steering lines come off of the rack. There is also an additional sensor on the '06 rack that gets in the way of the Turbonetics up-pipe. The 03-05 rack does not have this issue.
