Default SGP: 653RWHP & 598 pump gas!

My Z has been at SGP getting some major work done and finally have some numbers to share

653RWHP & 598RWTQ on 93 octane pump gas!

My goad was around 680 on race gas but 650 on pump is more than enough. I'm so happy with the resuts and I'll have a dyno chart up shortly. I wanted to give big thanks to Mark @ SGP and all his crew. Mark really is the wizard of car tuning.

Current Mods: JW C2 Cams, full upgraded valvetrain/port & polish( +1mm oversized valves), CP pistons, Pauter Rods, ARP L19 head studs, HKS head gasket, Fluidamper harmonic balancer, HKS ignition, HKS 1000cc injectors, non-sleeved block, solid motor mounts, Greddy twin turbo, Exedy dual core carbon clutch, AAM Y-Pipe, AAM 3" single exaust, SGP exaust dumps, HKS V-pro with all accessories, Koyo radiator, SGP cooling mods, skunk 2 plenum spacer, I'm sure there is some stuff I'm forgetting...

All work done/motor by SGP Raging www.sgpracing.com

Once again super big thanks to Mark

UPDATE 1/28/2007
dyno chart (left) on low boost, around 10 hp under 600rwhp. Mark say he tuned this to to 14psi but I have not seen anything over 13psi on my boost guage,

The chart on the right is at high boost, the drift/drag dual exedy carbon clutch takes some time to break in, the dip you see is the cluth slipping before grabbing again, just a hair under 650rwhp on PUMP GAS!!

Driving impressions: It's about 30 degrees here, freezin cold. The power is almost unusable, except on the highway. The solid motor mounts and solid diff mounts made a huge difference. Head work and cams also makes a huge difference. The engine feels very abrasive, but in a good way. The engine is loud, idles nothing like stock and revs so fast to redline that you have to be very carefull. I don't have the second fuel pump installed yet so I've only driven in low boost but there is no traction to be found untill 4th gear and even then it feel like it's grinding and randomly spinning the tires. The V-Pro is sooo much smoother than my old UTEC, especially when shifting hard from say 6th gear to 4th. The engine feels like more of a race car than street. I'm very impressed with the car SGP has built me.

Wow.......How expensive was it to do the upgraded Valetrain? I was thinking of port & polish myself while I install cams. Congrats on wicked Numbers! I pretty sure you are in Z06 Killing Territory.

cams, port/polish, +1 valvtrain is not cheap, atleast 4g's

I'm a little sick with myself how much I've spent on this car, but the motor alone costs way more than the car itself.

yes Shariff did do a tune when I was supercharged, but I've known Mark @ SGP for a long time now and I've switch to the Greddy twins since then. There not allot of tuners out there who can put down over 650 at the wheels on 93 octane.

Boogs: If you ever come down to KC holla at me, we have a great track in Topeka KS, lots of fun!

Great numbers! I have been looking for a shop to do my tune and SGP seems to be the closest to me. Did you ever get A dyno sheet would love to see what it looked like on paper.

Wow...incredible numbers!!

You made that much power on a single 3" exhaust? Man, if that's true, the argument that you need dual 3" exhaust just went out the window.
