Default Car Stalling at IDLE Greddy TT

Hey guys..

After the install of the TT, when I am driving, and put the car in Neutral, sometimes it stalls and most of the time it 'catches' itself and doesnt.. It always drops to very low RPM's, but I would say 25% of the time it dies.. Car has NOT been tuned yet but the map I am running as of right now isnt all that bad..

I will tune as much as I can but in the meantime, is there something else I can try to do to resolve this?

Thanks!

Try raising your idle? Any air leaks?

I had a similar problem right after S/C install but it eventually went away.. Possible need for the ECU to get use to the new air flow rate..?

on a stock engine, you should see about -10psi of vaccum. Could be something in the tune that is causing that...assuming you are running the 440cc injectors.

ken,

the easiest way to check for leaks is to get a 2-3' length of tubing larger than vacuum line preferably, but vacuum line will work in a pinch.

stick one in your ear, and probe around with the other end to listen for leaks.

It is also a great way to check to leaks in the exhaust too.

you'll look like an A-hole doing it, so make sure no one is watching.

I say you have a leak too...There have been times when I had an IC pipe partially disconnected and the car would sometimes stall, while other times it would catch itself.

You can also boost leak test as well, to be 100% sure.

What's the A/F at when idling ok, and where is it when it stalls out?

#1- Get a good tune
#2- Check for leaks
#3- You may need to take it to nissan to have them raise your idle, I had this problem too!

Thanks fellas for the input..

When I first installed the fuel return and started the vehicle, my fuel was at about 50 psi so I thought we were good.. I drive around for a day and all seemed fine until yesterday. I checked the fuel guage again and it was reading 40 psi, so I adjusted it back up to 50 or so and all is well.. No stalling now at all!

A/F @ idle is mid 14's.. Yea I need a tune as I am running rich right now just until I get to the dyno.. Thanks again all for the help!
