to be honest i'm not sure if they normally offer a full job like what they did on mine, at least not at a flat rate. the shop that put the greddy kit and everything else on my car had Level 10 change out everything, the gears, vb, clutchpacks, bands, everything. they had my tranny for a while. i'll have to ask what it took to do all that when i get some free time and post it.

Right now about 481whp at 1.2 bar boost with a Vortech SC and fully forged engine. valve body has been upgraded but i am having some issues with the trans at these power levels. i dont think it would last long. im waiting for sgp racing's upgraded clutch packs to be released.

How much $$ is it to get a tranny done over to accept all the new found power when going FI??

The only person who looks stipid is the guy who started a thread without researching at all. And refers to Forced Induction as F1.

TC? VB? If you don't know what I'm saying here, then you really, really need to search.

SGP already has the upgraded clutch packs.

I wish I knew the $$$ range as I am considering going TT or SC and I am trying to guesstimate the "other" expenses such as tranny work etc. Thanks for the response

VB = $800 to $1000 (Forged vs. SGP), TC = $300 to $800 (Edge vs. SGP), Full upgrade $4k (SGP)

It all depends on how you want your car to run. If you plan on tracking it, then, a built motor and all the goodies including new tranny will be needed. I suggest you talk to some of the great builders and Techs on this site and get an estimate. Read the very first post in this section, "how to do Twins right the first time."

Thanks RC and Zgood for the replies. I appreciate both of you pointing me in the right direction as to opposed to flaming me as a noob.

Any further pointers are welcome and of course appreciated.

I'll post a full review when the tranny is done. I just shipped it to SGP this past Monday so it'll be about a month. Once installed, Sharif will re-tune and up the boost. SGP is doing a complete re-build of the trans with the new clutches, bands, etc. as well as upgrading the valve body and new torque converter.

roncfpz - good luck man. it's a pretty penny - hope it's worth every dime. let us know your initial impressions. i suppose only time will tell how well it holds though.

what do you have now? Just a ForgedPerformance VB?

Yes, stock trans except for FP valve body upgrade. I'm hoping it's as advertised. Thanks!
