Default OEM oil pressure gauge

I have had a problem with my oil pressure gauge for awhile now and was wondering if any other members have had this problem. My oil pressure gauge onlu reads over 120 psi! Even when the car isn't running but the key is on ON it only reads 120psi. Does this mean I have a bad oil pressure sensor or is there a way to fix this?

What's the oil pressure at idle before it started reading over 120? I get around 10 psi when everything is warmed up.

Ok thanks
Just wanted to know, because a friend of mine said it wasn't the sensor that was bad. He said that he read in the article it's because I'm on boost and that I have to buy something from a Maima to fix it.

Hey I have the same problem and just started happening today. I asked an aeronautics engineer friend of mine. He explained it to me.

Now how much is this sensor? And where to get it?

My 92 Twin turbo 300zx had this issue as well, except mine was reading too low. They switched out the oil pressure sender and it was fixed. Probably the same deal.

I have this same problem and have the following question, when the sensor went bad did you get a check engine light? Mine stays at 120+ all the time and the CEL came on, just wondering if its related. Thanks!
