the SS box controls the fuel pump and must be used if you use the FMU, now wonder they were having fuel delivery problems....

i would never have someone reflash a computer for a tune, this makes it a must if you want to add another pulley or change anything that you have to go back to them, anyone else would use the SS box or another form of engine management so if you brought it any where else you would have to flash it back to stock then do a piggyback...

Im still using the SS box at 13 to 14.9psi . It does the job if you know where the stock timing is at , and you have a way of logging knock .

Just curious Booger why you havent upgraded your engine management after all you've done? If you did go with something like a UTEC would it be for safety or do you think you might be able to get more power out of it.

Ill tell you this . If I had hours to spend on the dyno to tune the R4 like its suppose to be tuned . I could make just as good as power as just about any EMU . And if it went by 100 or 200rpm's instead of 500rpm's ,and I dont end up with more than 16psi . I wouldnt change it at all . But I will more than likely go with another EMU this summer . After Im done getting the cog system working .

Looking good Muzzy, I personally love the SS box, its simple enough that any DIYer can setup a decent street tune.

My experience with AAM is both good and bad. I guess I worded my above post to sound a lil harsh towards AAM which wasnt my intentions. But lately Ive been trying to get a hold of Mike at AAM with a reflash issue on my car and for the past 3 weeks not I cannot get a hold of him. Everytime I call hes out on a test drive and they take my number and I never get a call back. I guess Im more or less frustrated with the lack of customer service really. Ive also tried talking with them about tuning a vortech as well and theyve sighted the same as Muzzy had done. I called function tuned then and was able to get a hold of dave right away and we talked for a while about the best way to go to atain my 400whp goal and a reliable setup for overtime. They just seemed more willing to want to help and do things my way then telling me what they want to do and how to do it. But sry if I sounded really harsh towards them. AAM still is a good shop and Ive seen what they can do, theyre customer service sometimes just really isnt the best, and for me thats what makes or breaks it for me. Anyway good luck man with the car. Great numbers already.

Isnt the spacer bolted to between the pan and the case. It should be covered in oil if I am correct.

With out a compleated tune on your car you are running a very high risk of doing damage to your car's motor.
