What that means is simply that if the harness is shorted to ground anywhere, the signal coming from the ecu to fire the coils will go to ground instead of going to where it's supposed to: the coils, it'd rather take the path of least resistance, that being ground. Ground is any metal part on the car.

My Z is a 6spd. I feel that sports cars need gear boxes and clutches. I've dreamt of owning a TT Z since I was a teen. Just a little while longer before the whole dream comes true.

Tell your GF if she has the bug to get a 6spd roadster so you two can arrive in style and be envied!!

Tell her to invest in an old 240SX. Just picked my son up one in ATL for under 3k. Then have her gf or sister teach her the basics. She already understands the concept (motorcyles have clutches) it's just transferring it to inside the car.

As for having another female to teach her, I highly believe that the opposite sex (in a relationship) should NOT teach each other how to drive a stick. After she has a few instructions get in the car and try, try, try. It's ALL about practice.
